days 72-75 {vacation}

we will be heading to the east coast this week for a few days of vacation. of course i will be photographing daily, but i am choosing to leave my laptop at home for this trip in order to {make} myself have some downtime to read, run, and just generally relax. no work allowed!!

a small disclaimer.

thank you for your patience on days 45-48. my sweet gramps passed away last week and we made a sudden trip back to illinois for his service. of course i lugged the d700 along and continued my photo-a-day project, and loved the images i made over the bittersweet weekend.

highlights included time in the country, meeting my day-old niece, and playing a round of golf with my husband's 91-year-old grandfather.

these four images reflect, to me, hope in the midst of heartache. God is good.
